ABOUT THE AWS ANNUAL MIDWEST GREAT PLAINS REGIONAL CONFERENCE
Supporting women throughout their career in surgery
The Association of Women Surgeons focuses on supporting and empowering women surgeons throughout their career, and we aim to connect medical students who have a strong interest in surgery to role models. This annual regional conference creates unique opportunities for students to showcase their research and network among peers, residents, and faculty in the US Midwest.

Get involved: If you are a medical student interested in joining the AWS community, reach out to your school's local AWS chapter, or create a chapter at your medical school! We also seek mentors at all levels, and welcome residents and faculty who are willing to contribute to empowering the next generation of surgeons.
The AWS National Medical Student Committee includes Regional Representatives across 8 regions around the United States
